Intensive Support Services
Allied Home Healthcare offers intensive support services that provide the level of care necessary to ensure the health and welfare of the person receiving the service. Our intensive support services are specifically intended to train, treat, and habilitate or re-habilitate the person.
Individualized Home Supports (IHS) with Training
In Home Services with Training, formerly known as Independent Living Skills (ILS), is direct training from a staff person to develop, maintain and improve the community living skills of a recipient.
A person receiving this service has access to an array of different types of assistance. Staff are available up to 16 hours a day in 4 categories:

- Community participation: Support in this area could include assistance traveling safely in the community, using and accessing resources in the community, and planning for social or leisure activities.
- Household management: Support in this area could include support to complete household chores, budgeting, cooking/meal preparation, and housing support strategies.
- Service options: Services can be received in the home and out in the community. Staff can provide help coordinating appointments, cues for self-care, coordination of community living activities, independence skill building, budgeting, and crisis prevention skills as well as assistance with many other daily living tasks.
- Health, Safety, and wellness: Support in this area could include providing reminders or supervision for completing self-cares like bathing or taking medication, in addition to planning strategies to arrange and attend healthcare appointments.
- Adaptive skills: Support in this area could include assistance with crisis prevention (safety, mental/physical health, etc.), promoting positive support strategies, and support to increase positive behaviors that reduce other challenging behaviors.
Individualized Home Supports (IHS) with Family Training
Individualized Home Supports (with family training), formerly known as In-Home Family Support (IHFS) Services, is a residential habilitation service. The IHS focuses on families who are in need of additional support in their homes.
